The Best Way to Prepare for Your Dumpster Rental Drop off

When receiving your dumpster in a residential area, there are some things you should consider before your dumpster is dropped off. You should know the spot you want the dumpster rental to be placed, and being prepared for this will save you a significant amount of time. You should also clean up and clear out obstructions to allow the truck driver to complete the drop-off. Remove anything in the way of the drop off area as a roll-off truck needs a lot of space to unload your dumpster. It is also important to not overload your dumpster with debris. Keep the load below the stated weight limit of the dumpster.

Loading Levels & Weight Instructions

The customer is responsible for filling the roll-off box and its contents. The roll-off boxes must be loaded evenly and level – nothing should extend higher than the side or top rails. Any boxes stacked over the top will be refused and will be the responsibility of the customer to level and/or off-load material. Concrete, dirt, rocks, brick, asphalt, stucco, and other heavy inert materials may not be loaded any higher than 2 feet above the bin floor in any size dumpster. The maximum weight limit on roll-off  box to be hauled is 10 tons (20,000 lbs.). Overweight loads are dangerous and therefore subject to be dumped and reloaded at the customer’s expense, or billed a surcharge up to $55 per ton over normal tonnage charges.

Hard to Handle & Hazardous Materials

No liquids, tires, stumps, computer e-waste, batteries, paint, toxic materials, oils, asbestos, hazardous waste materials, explosives, pressurized containers of any kind, or any items listed by City, State or Federal agencies with jurisdiction over the respective area.  Mattresses, couches, appliances, tires, white goods, telephone poles, railroad ties, and agricultural waste are subject to additional charges at all local disposal facilities. Fees range from $5 to $250 per item. Please call ahead with any questions.

Roll-off Rates & Scheduling

Rates charged for roll-off services include delivery fees, hauling fees per dumpster, tonnage fees for the landfill materials dumped, and a basic container rental free grace period. Extra charges will be billed if the box is overweight (over 5 tons for 20 and 30 yard boxes and over 3 tons for 12 yard boxes) and if additional labor is needed to adjust the load for boxes that are overfilled, inaccessible, and/or filled unevenly. There will also be additional fees for unacceptable items outlined in the previous paragraph.

ENVIROMARK requires a flat and level surface for box placement. Do not attempt to move box on your own! Call if box needs to be relocated. This includes any attempts with backhoes, forklifts or tractors because it may damage the box.  Excessive box damage will be charged back to customer on a time and materials basis. Shop rate, standby and relocation charge is at $70 an hour.  Please provide a minimum of (2) two full days notification in advance when scheduling a box placement and removing service. The customer is responsible for any local city or municipality permit which may be required.
